As a follow though to the Army Cadet League Annual General Meeting , we are holding the election / kickoff meeting for the 1188 Support committee on Tuesday April 21, 2009 at 7pm in the Combined Mess at Oakville Armoury.

The purpose of this meeting is to establish a formal support committee

The 1188 will have the distinct pleasure of having one of the NCO's from the Lorne Scots Regiment attending the armouries this evening. He will be discussing opportunities to become a reserve soldier, apply for the co-op program and other military career opportunities.

Part of the evening will also be focusing on the history of the regiment so that all cadets have a basic understanding of the regiment we are affiliated to.

All cadets are welcome.

This parade will be a full inspection to monitor cadets care of their uniforms. Get the boot polish out!!!!!

New recruits without uniforms to wear neat casual clothing

All cadets are welcome.

We will be doing a ruck march around downtown oakville
Cadets are required to wear their combat uniforms, and bring appropriate attire for the weather ie, coat gloves
Please bring a water bottle and perhaps a granola snack to boost your energy
Cadets must bring their ruck sacks (napsacks that were issued) filled with approx. 5 lbs of equipment, NCO's are suggested to carry approx/ no more than 20lbs.
