Physical Training- ruck march

Dress: Combat uniform (if you do not have one, wear workout clothes ie sweatpants, sweater, tshirt)
Activity: Ruck march/ physical activity
Kit: -your green ruck sack filled with weekend kit/ supplies (the idea is that it has some weight to it! DONT STUFF IT WITH JUST TOILET PAPER - if you dont have one just bring your school backback with a few text books)
- extra socks
-water bottle

10am to 3pm. Dress is civilian attire. Lunch is provided.

Cold Weather Training

Green, Red and Silver Star cadets will be required to attend this training night in preparation for the weekend trip to Fort George on the 05th March 2010.

The lecture will include survival in cold weather, preparing and looking after personal kit (clothing etc) for cold weather activities and a demonstration of Canadian Forces equipment used in arctic and winter environments.

This lecture will take place at the Armouries. Cadets will be issued Warning Orders/Joining Instructions for the actual exercise to Fort George.

Once again cadets will be attending Fort George for a weekend ex on winter survival.

PARENT INFORMATION SHEET

Your son/daughter has qualified to attend the Winter Indoc weekend exercise at Parks Canada Fort George National Historic Site, Niagara, Ontario. As a prerequisite to this exercise, he/she has participated in the dry-land training session at the Oakville Armourie on Tuesday February 2nd, 2010. There will be indoor shelter available for everyone should it be required.

REMEMBER: Provincial OHIP Card must be in the cadet’s possession at all times
