1188 Registration Instructions

This is a message for all members of the 1188 RCACC.

In order for your account to be approved you MUST REGISTER WITH THE APPROPRIATE NAME FORMAT.

The appropriate format is Last name, followed by first initial and a period. (ie: Burrows K. , Bland W. , or Crawford D.) There will be no exceptions. Anyone failing to adhere to this will not have their account validated.

Dress attire for this event is combats. Cadets are to bring their issued rucksacks loaded with approx 10-15 lbs of weight, Bring sunscreen and water. A march will commence at the armouries and end at the armouries. This event is to help encourage cadets to build up endurance for the summertime outdoors.

Silver stars are going to be preparing survival kits. Full inspection now includes bringing issued backpacks with polish kits and classroom material.

Red and Green Stars will be reviewing material for final exam

Cadets are to show up at the Georgetown Armouries, 91 Todd Road, Georgetown Ontario for 9 a.m. The event will go on until 4 p.m. Transportation to this event will have to be supplied by parents. Please bring water and sunscreen.

The drive is approximatley 30-40 minutes from Oakville. cadets can wear combats or appropriate gym attire.

Weekend Exercise-Halton Police Search and Rescue Training

Senior NCO's and Silver STAR cadets ONLY
Halton Regional Police are hosting a training exercise at the Bronte Provincial Park. Cadets will be attending Friday night and staying over until Saturday. They will assist with setting up a Bivouac site to be used as a Command Post by the police. SILVER STAR practical examination will be included in this event. Cadets will also be tested on setting up 1 and 2 man shelters as part of their fieldcraft testing.

YMCA Rock Climbing/Smimming- 7 p.m - 930 p.m.

Cadets are to be at the YMCA located on Rebecca Street between Dorval Drive and Fourth line ready for 7 p.m. This night will consist of swimming and rock climbing. Cadets are to wear appropriate exercise clothing and shoes as well as swimwear, towels etc. This event will go until 9 p.m. with departure pickup at the YMCA front doors.

This event has been extended until 2130 hrs. The facility is open until 2200 hors and if any cadets want to stay until closing they are welcome to do so
